WORLD SERIES!!!!

So, I am not your average girl. I would rather watch and play sports than go shopping or to the movies. I would rather be on a soccer field with a ball at my feet and a new pair of cleats. I would rather be at the field supporting my LCU Red Lions.  I would rather be in the Laughlin Center losing my voice cheering our boys basketball team on. I would rather sit at Buffalo Wild Wings watching the Fighting Illini with the rest of the crowd. I would rather be in an ice arena counting and yelling for the fights in hockey (Buffalo Sabres, Ft. Wayne Komets or Cedar Rapids RoughRiders... take your pick). I would rather be sitting on the couch with my dad or Spencer and our two best friends, Nick and Jenn, driving each other crazy about our choices in teams.

I love sports. And I especially love baseball and the St. Louis Cardinals. I hadn't been able to follow baseball much over the summer with being so busy with visiting teams here in Peru. And I have to admit it was hard to get excited about the playoffs when I knew my Cardinals were so far from the Wild Card. But they made it. And then they blew everything out of the water taking the baseball world by surprise. The last two series leading up to the World Series drove me crazy. I just wanted them to win. And here we are. Game 7 for the World Series. I can't believe it! I am so excited and anxious to watch the game tonight. I was never a big baseball fan until I went to Lincoln and started watching it with friends who were Cardinal fans. And now I am decked out in my red and white STL apparel ready to cheer them onto a win! Yup. I'm not your average girl. But that's alright with me. :) LET'S GO CARDINALS!!!!
