Well hello 2012!
I can't believe that a new year has begun! I thought last year was a crazy adventure of a year. But I am thinking that this year will be much the same if not crazier.
A week after getting home I went on my holiday travel adventure. My family, fiance and I went to New York to spend Christmas with my older sister and her husband and daughter. That's where Spence and I got engaged (see the story here). Then after a week in NY, my family headed back to the midwest. Samantha and I got dropped off in Chicago (after a lovely family breakfast at my future in-laws). My family went on home while Samantha and I prepared for a busy weekend at Ashley and Nick's wedding. Thursday was the rehearsal (complete with a Scottish dance lesson to be performed at the reception), Friday was the ceremony, Saturday was spent in bed and at a Ft. Wayne hockey game and Sunday was the 2nd wedding reception in Indianapolis. It was a crazy, whirlwind of a weekend. But so wonderful nonetheless. It was great to be reunited with all of my friends from school. Even though we didn't have a whole lot of time and my goodbyes to Ashley and Nick came much to soon... I am so glad I got to spend the weekend with everyone celebrating the adventure GOD has brought Nick and Ashley on (they are now in Scotland while Nick finishes his masters and possibly his doctorate).
I am now home and preparing to start back at the wonderful world of Hy-Vee tomorrow. I haven't had much time to focus on wedding planning yet. But hope to start soon. It's hard to believe that this time last year I was working on mailing out support letters for my Peru Adventure and now this year I am working on mailing out save the dates and wedding invitations. So very crazy to say the least. Well, I am off to finish up some work and then eat dinner with my family.
Happy NEW YEAR!!!!! And may 2012 be an amazing year for all of you!
