Quick little update...

Well, in my last post I had written that I was excited about the fact that I had gotten a job. I started the training and schedule they gave me and after 4 days of being miserable, not being trained appropriately and coming home crying, Spence and I decided it just wasn't worth it for me to stay there. So, I turned in my two weeks notice and will officially be done there on the 19th. But I did start another job this morning and already like it a lot. It's at gym and will be only for 8 guaranteed hours a week, with the potential of gaining more the longer I am there. It's far more relaxed and flexible with my church and marriage commitments. I also am in the process of getting my certification for substitute teaching thanks to the help of a friend I met in Peru. She is from the States and we met during one of the short-term trips. She just happens to be a teacher and more than willing to help me out! Hopefully between that, the gym and substituting at our church daycare, I will be busy enough to keep me sane while putting everything towards my loans. And it will also be nice to not work nights opposite of Spence, miss too many church events due to not being able to get off work or be too tired to enjoy going to Lincoln with him on Tuesdays.

Other than work changes, life is going good. Things are still new and different and I still have lessons to learn in regards to being a minister's wife. But I will always have those lessons to learn I think. He has been busy with planning our fall programs for both youth group and Sunday school classes. And I have been trying to help in whatever ways I can. Including helping to make plans for taking our students to Indiana for the Student International Conference on Missions. With helping make those plans he asked if I would want to teach on missions at youth group for the weeks leading up to the conference and help create some activities that our students can do at the conference that will really impact them. I am super excited and am already trying to think through some ideas of what and how I would want to teach. To teach about missions is something I have been thinking about and wanting to do one day in the future. To teach foundations (biblical and historical) is something I would love to do. But who knows if that will actually happen. Only time will tell.
