Last few days in Peru

Today and tomorrow have been/are being spent with Skylar and Nicole. Mike and Dani went with our director John to Huanchaco in order to have some undisturbed work time. So, I am sleeping over with the girls and tomorrow we are having a girls day (after I pack that is). We are going to go out to eat, get our nails done, get ice cream and do some shopping before heading back to their house to watch a movie and/or play cards. Today we spent the day just hanging out in the house. The electricity was turned off in the city til about 4pm. So we read, did some homework, played Skip-Bo and Phase10 (I lost both of them!). And then Mily and Mariale came over to hang out for awhile. It's been a fun day and tomorrow will definitely be great as well. I love spending time with Skylar and Nicole. They are definitely sisters in my mind. I will miss them a ton.

This is how I usually look & feel when packing...
Tomorrow I have to pack. I am leaving a lot of what I brought with me. But I have a lot of Christmas presents to take back. So it could be interesting as I attempt to re-pack everything. Hopefully I can figure it out on my own since when I packed to come down here my mama did most of it for me. I hate packing with a passion. And I usually try to put it off to the very last minute. When I was on camp teams, I would put off packing until about a half an hour before we were supposed to load the van and leave. Oftentimes, forgetting something important (but thankfully I never forgot my Bible and journal... what a terrible camp counselor I would have been if that had happened!). Anyway, needless to say... I hate packing!

I leave Tuesday night after having a going away party with our team in the office and a lunch with a family in the church who own a restaurant (we actually rent their building on Sundays for church here in the city). I first fly to Lima, then Atlanta and then finally Cedar Rapids. I leave at 6:50pm on Tuesday for Lima and arrive at 9pm on Wednesday. It's going to be a long 24 hours. But I'll survive somehow. Especially knowing that my family and love will be waiting for me on the other end. Tuesdays goodbyes are going to be hard. But I know that one day I will see everyone again. And at the same time, I can't help but be excited to be reunited with my family and love.

So for now... this is my last post from Peru. I will post again later this week once I have arrived back home and had some time to catch up with my family and on my sleep. Prayers would be much appreciated as I travel on Tuesday and Wednesday. I am anxious to travel again by myself. And thank you to all who have followed my Peruvian Adventure. I can't wait to see what adventure God takes me on next.
